Carole’s BBQ sauce

 

2 cups ketchup

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/ cup vinegar

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

splash soy sauce

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

splash Worchestershire sauce

2-3 thick lemon slices

 

Combine all in sauce pan, bring to boil, then simmer for 30 minutes or so.  Remove lemon slices before using.

 

 

                                  

 

 

Crock Pot BBQ Ribs

 

Ingredients

3 lb. baby back ribs

1/4 cup liquid smoke

1 tsp. sugar

1 bottle barbecue sauce with onions

1/4 cup water

1 tsp. garlic powder

Preparation:

Cut ribs into sections & place in bottom of crock pot.  Mix together sugar, garlic.  powder, water, & liquid smoke.  Add to crock pot.  Cook on low heat for 8 hours.  Add Barbecue sauce & cook 2 more hours.
